Is IOP the Right Fit?
Anxiety or depression present but manageable day-to-day
Your daughter is struggling, but she can still function in most areas of life with added support. IOP provides that structured boost without pulling her out of daily routines.
Can attend school most days
She’s still going to school regularly, even if it’s hard. IOP works around her school schedule so she can keep up academically while getting the help she needs.
Home environment is relatively stable
Home is safe and supportive enough for her to live there during treatment. IOP allows her to practice skills in her real-life environment every day.
Needs more structure than weekly therapy
Once-a-week sessions aren’t enough to build momentum. IOP offers multiple sessions per week with group and individual therapy to help her make consistent progress.
Stepping down from residential or day treatment
She’s made progress at a higher level of care and is ready for more independence. IOP provides continued support during the transition back to daily life.
What IOP Looks Like
Arrival & group check-in
Teens arrive and begin with a structured check-in to set intentions, connect with peers, and transition into the therapeutic space.
Group therapy & skills practice
Focused group work targets emotion regulation, coping strategies, communication skills, and healthy relationship-building in a supportive peer environment.
Individual therapy (as scheduled)
One-on-one sessions with a therapist to address personal goals, process experiences, and build insight and coping tools tailored to her needs.
Break & regulation time
A supported break for teens to practice regulation skills, reset, and prepare for the next session. Staff are available for check-ins.
Family sessions (weekly/biweekly)
Family therapy strengthens communication, supports healthier dynamics at home, and ensures parents are active partners in the treatment process.
Transition back to daily routine
The session closes with reflection and goal-setting, then teens return to their regular routine — school, home, and life outside of treatment.
